Paddington House Of Pancakes, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, Malaysia

It's all about the PANCAKES!
About all the yummylicious pancakes from the Paddington House Of Pancakes!
 Cheerful colourful chairs!

A pretty cool place to chill.
Anyways, enough about the environment, here's what you've been waiting for!
Food! Drinks! Food! Drinks! Foooooooood!
The Affogato served in Paddignton Pancakes!
For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a scoop of vanilla ice cream served in coffee! I don't really fancy coffee that much, but I LOVE vanilla! Anything with vanilla always has a higher chance of being picked off the menu for me.
Their 'Sinful Chocolate' as they call it. I was expecting a very chocolatey drink. Something that's really thick and heavy to drink. But, surprisingly, it turned out to be more light and milky.
Don't stop yourself from ordering it just cause of what I said above though, I really enjoyed the drink though it's light and milky. I really really liked it. The whip cream is not the sweet kind, but also the milky kind. It blends well with the chocolate and the drink goes along perfectly with the yummy pancakes!
Banana And Bacon Pancake

This was what my friend ordered. It's called 'Banana And Bacon'. It comes with bananas, a huge pineapple in the middle of the pancake, and bacon.
They served the dish together with salad, sour cream as well as some sort of a caramel mix.

This is my dish. It's called the Oslo. I would highly recommend this dish if you're a savory person. They say it's spicy mashed potato pancakes, but really, you don't have to worry about the spiciness. It isn't actually spicy at all. And the texture of the pancake is just awesome! Especially if you love mashed potatoes like me.
They topped the mashed potato pancakes with smoked salmon and zucchini.
The smoked salmon adds on a lot of taste to the food.Yum!

I would say this dish is simply awesome. Why? Because they have pretty much everything I love. Mashed potatoes (pancake), salmon, eggs... how can one not love eggs? The scrambled eggs by the side has a mix of tomatoes and mushrooms in them too. It's pretty filling. I actually couldn't finish them all and donated some to the hungry tummy sitting opposite me. Must be the mashed potatoes that took up all the space.

Dessert! It came free with a Bcard we registered on the spot. Only available for a certain period of time I believe. We had 3 sides of the menu to choose from and boy, was it hard to decide! Everything looks sooooooo good!!
Our dessert was a thin crepe filled with peanut & chocolate (You can't see the peanut & chocolate because it's covered by the top layer of the crepe). A few slices of peach, some sliced pineapples, two fried bananas and two scoops of VANILLA ice cream sat on top. Then, it's finished with a puffylicious dose of milky whipped cream. This time, the whip creamed was drizzled with caramel. Yum!
I really don't wish to waste food, but both of our nomming capacity was filled to the very tippety top of our tummies! So yeah, we wasted a tinsy bit of dessert?
And me being me once again, just had to spread the leftover caramel dip into a smiley face with a message for the workers there.
That's all for this post! Thanks for dropping by. Details are stated below.

TAO Authentic Cuisine, Sunway Giza, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Hey everyone! So, for my 2013 birthday dinner, my family brought me to Tao Authentic Cuisine aka Tao Japanese Restaurant!
I've been here before, and the food was really good. We came back this time round, and once again, I would say that Tao is not about the quantity, but the quality!

Of course, if you wish for quantity, you can always just let them know to bring extra or reorder. After all, it IS a buffet!
The lunch rate is definitely better than dinner, but for me, buffet is usually the best during dinner time.
For Tao Japanese Restaurant, their buffet system does not go like other usual buffet systems. Instead of walking around and taking the food yourself, MOST food go by orders. That helps them ensure the freshness and good quality of the food. Only certain food (raw salmon, raw tuna, oyster, grilled salmon, salad bar, desserts, chocolate fountain, and a couple other dishes.) are placed out for self service.
My mom really enjoyed the oysters.
The prawns were pretty fresh too.
My favourite drink from Tao. Ice Peach Tea!
The taste is really strong unlike some other places where peach teas are most likely diluted.
Other choices of drinks are green tea, blackcurrant, and orange juice.
The mushroom weren't bad, but I've tasted better. We didn't reorder this dish like we did most.
Their scallops were good. They have a cheesy creamy texture added to them. We ordered about 3 dishes of these for a family of 5 members.
Abalone! This one is another favourite in my family. We ordered about 3 dishes as well.
Soft shell crab. Known to be under the top ten best dishes in Tao, but I didn't really find it all that great. I love soft shell crabs, but this one isn't as appetizing.
Cod fish! Tao has really good quality cod fish. It doesn't have that smelly fishy smell, and the texture is really soft and smooth. Thumbs up! I was looking forward to this dish since the last time I came to Tao. The only thing is, this dish took much longer to arrive.

Here are a few pages off their menu.

The food in Tao is really good, as I've been saying since the beginning of this post, BUT, do watch out for their desserts. I didn't enjoy any of them for both the times that I came. I would just stick to their other savoury food.
I love tarts. Especially all the little cheese tarts, but when I took a bite off this, I didn't want to have another bite. The taste was bland and the entire thing felt like it was just made plainly with flour.
I did not get to try this, but I heard that it wasn't all that good too.

Overall, I would say Tao Authentic Cuisine aka Tao Japanese Restaurant is definitely a great place for good quality food served buffet style. Though, if you're thinking of desserts, I would think twice.

Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Levain is quite a popular place for breakfast and lunch. I've came here trice and 2/3 times, the place was packed with people! Both upstairs and downstairs were full!
Levain has a very beautiful and relaxing environment. I especially love how the bricks enhance the look of the place.

The STONE OVEN. Freshly baked pastries are a huge hit at Levain's. I don't usually crave for pastries, but after being to Levain once, I've always wanted to come back just for their pastries. They have a lot of variety, and almost everything I tried tasted superb!
This is my favourite pastry of all time from Levain's. If you're an egg lover like me, you simply HAVE to try! I'm sure you'll fall in love with it at your very first bite!
Levain provides free drinking water and an oven to heat up your food too!
I didn't get to try this one. We were all too full to have a bite.

They're pizzas are really good too, with generous toppings.
Do try out their pastas too. I've tried but forgotten to take photos of them the last time I was there. My favourite was the creamy spinach one. It had a slightly different taste from the usual pastas, but I enjoyed that dish a lot.
